The scene he’s picked as the basis for his auditions is on a true discussion he and his previous wife had as he applied for divorce. The way he talks about that marriage was a fake and his sexual life coming out in the midst of their argument is sure to make his guests, and especially his son, uneasy. The music also contributes to the intriguing and upbeat tension.
