In Beaton’s first novel in the original book, Pinecone requests an army horse for an anniversary present and instead gets a (chubby) ponies. The girl initially is a bit upset however, she quickly realizes that her Pony has special abilities that will allow her to overcome any obstacle. The trailer for the series reveals that throughout the eight episodes in the first season, the two buddies will be faced with giants and trolls.
