The film will explore how a womanizer, as well as a gold miner, learns about human nature when they have to band together and pursue their robot doppelgangers. Hines and Christensen created the script that centers around a woman man and a gold digger, who find an underlying sense of humanity after being confronted with the need to unite and hunt down robot duplicates of themselves. They’ve been in love and are running off together. Hines is most well-known for his work alongside Sacha Baron Cohen. They both earned Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar nominations for both Borat films.

In the near-term future, in the United States, a womanizer, Charles, and a gold miner, Elaine, use illegal automated machines to interact with others. Problems arise when their robotic twins fall in love and escape, requiring both of them to band together to track them down before authorities uncover their secrets. Casper Christensen and Anthony Hines compose and direct the film.

After their clones accidentally become infatuated with each other, Charlie and Elaine team together to prevent their robots from becoming their own. One of the factors that were able to make the absence of rings noticeable, as noted by a number of fans, was the color of the enamel the actress wore. Her nails were painted a light pink, except for the finger for her ring which was black.
