The action is fantastic, particularly during scenes set in New York scenes. Mirage is the star of the show however, the real star is the soundtrack, which is full of hip-hop classics from the 90s. The ’90s child enjoyed himself.”

It makes use of an animation film script and incorporates the Maximals and Terrorcons to great effect. The stakes are extremely high as is the fact that Scourge is a formidable and frightening villain. There are some niggles in the middle, but it is a great start and includes amazing 90s hip-hop that makes excellent use of human beings. Rise of the Beasts works as a great cartoon that you can watch on a Saturday morning.

“The principal thing that’s going on is that both human beings are more autonomous than they have ever been before in our films. They both have character arcs for their characters,” Bonaventura revealed. “At at the same time and something we’ve never done yet, there is a character arc of Optimus Prime. The character arcs are not in harmony until they’re all together. This is a completely unique experience for those who are Transformers enthusiasts.”
