What is the Quantum Leap all about:

The story traces the story of Ben Song, played by Raymond Lee, a physicist who can jump across time without the permission of his superiors, in search of answers regarding the fate of the doctor.

There’s a fresh remake that will bring you back to the past three decades in the near future when the new film ‘Quantum Leap which stars Raymond Lee is released. Dean Stockwell co-stars as Admiral Al Calavicci, Sam’s womanizing companion, cigar smoker, and best friend who appears to him as a hologram. He studies and formulates his thoughts about the past.

The series that preceded it starred Scott Bakula as Dr. Sam Beckett, a physicist who accidentally leaps through spacetime in time travel experiments, temporarily taking over the role of other scientists to correct his constant discovery of historical mistakes.
