The danger is that you’ll be somewhere in between, and the audience’s uncertain of the best direction to go. It’s the beauty, however, it also limits May December, which in every case proves that Todd Haynes is a precious filmmaker in the modern landscape, never dull and always eager to be awestruck.

It is better to be awed by films this impressive instead of being bored by stories that are too simple to understand. May December will be released in US on November 12, 2023, and will be available on Netflix 1 December 2023.
