Meet the Cast of ‘Peacemaker Season 2’ (PHOTOS)

Meet the Cast of 'Peacemaker Season 2' (PHOTOS)

The most morally questionable superhero is back! Peacemaker Season 2 picks up after Christopher Smith’s brutal recovery from his showdown with Bloodsport, only to find that his “freedom” comes with strings attached. Forced back into action by shadowy forces, Peacemaker reunites with his ragtag team—plus some dangerous new faces—for another round of hyper-violent missions, awkward introspection, and of course, epic hair metal. This season dives deeper into Peacemaker’s fractured psyche while doubling down on the outrageous humor and heart that made the first season a smash hit.

Expect more chaos, more Eagly, and more morally dubious decisions as Peacemaker grapples with his legacy, daddy issues, and the consequences of wearing a helmet that literally blocks out reality. With James Gunn back at the helm, Season 2 promises even bigger action, wilder cameos, and soundtrack choices so gloriously tacky they’ll make your headbang—then question your life choices.

Peacemaker Season 2 cast members

1: John Cena as Christopher Smith / Peacemaker

John Cena returns as the titular antihero, delivering another masterclass in blending absurd comedy with surprising pathos. Cena fully commits to Peacemaker’s delusional self-righteousness, whether he’s debating the ethics of murder or tearfully hugging Eagly. This season explores his trauma from the finale, forcing Cena to balance the character’s trademark bravado with newfound vulnerability—often in the same scene.

Behind the scenes, Cena reportedly did 90% of his own stunts, including a brutal fight sequence set to a 1980s power ballad. His chemistry with the cast—especially Danielle Brooks—remains the show’s secret weapon, turning even therapy sessions into comedic gold.

2: Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo

Danielle Brooks steals every scene as Leota Adebayo, the team’s reluctant moral compass. Brooks’ impeccable timing shines as Adebayo navigates her messy personal life while trying (and failing) to keep Peacemaker in check. This season delves into her complicated relationship with her mother (Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller), adding emotional weight to her arc.

A leaked set photo suggests Adebayo gets her own action hero moment, complete with a flamethrower—proof that Brooks can do badass just as well as she delivers withering one-liners.

3: Freddie Stroma as Adrian Chase / Vigilante

Freddie Stroma’s unhinged Vigilante remains the show’s breakout star, with Season 2 doubling down on his psychopathic charm. Stroma’s deadpan delivery turns even grocery shopping into a life-or-death scenario, and rumors suggest he’ll face off against a surprising DC Comics villain this season.

The actor revealed he improvised 70% of Vigilante’s lines, including an entire monologue about the nutritional value of Hot Pockets that made it into the final cut.

4: Jennifer Holland as Agent Emilia Harcourt

Jennifer Holland brings steely intensity (and killer fight scenes) as Harcourt, whose tough exterior hides a soft spot for the team—especially Economos. This season explores her backstory, including a flashback to her early ARGUS days that explains her trust issues.

Holland trained in Krav Maga for new hand-to-hand sequences, one of which reportedly left a stuntman with a minor concussion. Worth it.

5: Steve Agee as John Economos

Steve Agee’s Economos gets a glow-up this season—both literally (that beard!) and figuratively, as he steps out of his tech-support role and into the field. Agee’s comedic chops shine as Economos fumbles through missions, but a surprise emotional subplot reveals why he’s so loyal to Waller.

Fun fact: Agee ad-libbed Economos’ obsession with niche 1980s action figures, which became a running gag.

6: Dee Bradley Baker as Eagly

The MVP returns! Dee Bradley Baker’s vocal work as Eagly somehow makes the CGI eagle the most emotionally intelligent character. This season, Eagly gets his own B-plot involving a romantic subplot with a hawk, because of course he does.

Baker recorded actual eagle screeches at a wildlife sanctuary, then “translated” them into Eagly’s signature coos and growls.

7: Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr.

Frank Grillo joins as Rick Flag Sr., a grizzled government operative with a vendetta against Peacemaker. Grillo’s trademark intensity makes Flag a formidable foil, especially in a brutal fight scene set to—what else?—a hair metal ballad.

Rumor has it Grillo refused a stunt double for a motorcycle sequence, insisting, “I’m 60, not dead.”

8: Michael Rooker as Red St. Wild

Michael Rooker chews scenery as Red St. Wild, a flamboyant arms dealer with ties to Peacemaker’s past. Rooker’s over-the-top performance (think: a cross between his Guardians role and a Tiger King extra) is already generating memes.

He reportedly wore his own leather wardrobe from the 1990s for the role.

9: David Denman

Though his role is under wraps, David Denman (a The Office alum) is rumored to play a small-town sheriff who clashes with Peacemaker’s… methods. Expect awkward small talk and horrified reactions to vigilante justice.

10: Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury

Tim Meadows returns as Fleury, Adebayo’s exasperated husband. This season, he gets dragged into the chaos during a disastrous dinner party scene that ends with a hostage situation.

Meadows improvised most of Fleury’s increasingly unhinged reactions, including a meltdown over vegan turkey.

11: Sol Rodriguez as Sasha Bordeaux

Newcomer Sol Rodriguez plays Sasha Bordeaux, a tech genius with a mysterious connection to Waller. Rodriguez brings a hacker’s snark to the team, plus killer chemistry with Vigilante in a coding montage set to “Tainted Love.”

Why Season 2 Will Rock Harder

  • More DC deep cuts: Rumored cameos from obscure comics villains

  • Bigger action: A hallway fight scene that rivals Daredevil

  • Deeper dives: Flashbacks to Peacemaker’s childhood (yes, the helmet was involved)

  • Eagly’s glow-up: He now has a tiny leather jacket
