Krapopolis Season 3 Full Cast & Character Guide

Krapopolis TV Series (2023) | Cast, Episodes | And Everything You Need to Know

Created by Dan Harmon (Community, Rick and Morty), “Krapopolis” returns for its third season on September 28, 2025, airing on Fox and streaming on Hulu. The animated series is set in a mythical ancient Greece and follows the dysfunctional founding family of one of the world’s first cities. The show is a unique blend of historical parody and family sitcom, exploring the absurd challenges of creating civilization from scratch, including bureaucracy, social hierarchies, and new inventions, all through the lens of a highly flawed but oddly relatable family unit.

The central conflict and comedy arise from the fact that this is no ordinary family; it is a blend of humans, gods, and monsters, each with their own monstrously selfish agendas. Tyrannis, the semi-mortal son of the goddess Deliria, attempts to lead with reason and progress, but is constantly undermined by his hedonistic mother, a narcissistic father who is a literal monster, and other divine and mythical siblings. Season 3 promises more of the clever, chaotic humor that pits godly ego against human ambition in the struggle to keep a fledgling society from collapsing.

Krapopolis Season 3 2025 cast list

1: Richard Ayoade as Tyrannis

Richard Ayoade is a British comedian, actor, writer, and director known for his deadpan, intellectual delivery. He gained widespread acclaim for his role as Maurice Moss in the cult classic sitcom The IT Crowd, which earned him a BAFTA. Ayoade has also hosted several television shows, including The Crystal Maze and Travel Man, and has directed films like Submarine and The Double. His unique comedic timing, characterized by a blend of social awkwardness and sharp wit, makes him a distinctive voice in comedy.

As the voice of Tyrannis, Ayoade brings his signature tone of rational exasperation to the role of the city’s founder. Tyrannis is the straight man surrounded by chaos, striving to implement democracy and innovation in a family that prefers chaos and self-indulgence. Ayoade’s performance perfectly captures the character’s weary optimism and the monumental task of being the only sane person in a family of gods and monsters, making him the relatable anchor for the audience.

2: Matt Berry as Shlub

Matt Berry is a British actor, comedian, writer, and musician with an unmistakably rich, dramatic voice and a flair for the theatrical. He is internationally recognized for his roles in acclaimed series like The IT Crowd, What We Do in the Shadows as the energy vampire Laszlo Cravensworth, and Toast of London, for which he won a BAFTA. Berry’s delivery is often loud, pompous, and hilariously self-important, making him ideal for playing larger-than-life characters.

In “Krapopolis,” Berry voices Shlub, a Mantitaur (part manticore, part centaur) and the father of Tyrannis. Shlub is a vain, hedonistic, and narcissistic monster who believes the world revolves around him. Berry’s booming, melodramatic voice is the perfect instrument for Shlub’s outrageous pronouncements and selfish whims, bringing a glorious and hilarious arrogance to the character that drives much of the show’s conflict.

3: Hannah Waddingham as Deliria

Hannah Waddingham is an English actress and singer who achieved global superstardom for her Emmy-winning role as Rebecca Welton in the critically adored series Ted Lasso. Prior to this, she had a celebrated career in London’s West End, starring in major musicals like Spamalot and The Wizard of Oz. Waddingham possesses a commanding presence and a voice that can convey both formidable authority and deep vulnerability.

Waddingham lends her formidable talents to Deliria, the goddess of self-destruction and hedonism, and mother to Tyrannis. Deliria is a chaotic force of nature, more interested in being worshipped and causing mischief than in responsible governance. Waddingham expertly balances the character’s divine power with a petty, immature personality, creating a hilarious and intimidating matriarch whose divine whims constantly complicate her son’s attempts at city-building.

4: Pam Murphy as Stupendous

Pam Murphy is a comedian and writer known for her work on shows like The Great North and as a writer for Bob’s Burgers. Her background in animation writing gives her a deep understanding of character-driven humor and timing. She often brings a quirky, offbeat energy to her roles, making her a perfect fit for the unique world of “Krapopolis.”

Murphy voices Stupendous, the mermaid sister of Tyrannis who is obsessed with becoming famous and creating art. The character serves as a satire of celebrity culture and artistic pretension, set against the backdrop of ancient times. Murphy’s performance captures Stupendous’s vanity and relentless ambition, adding another layer of self-absorbed comedy to the already chaotic family dynamic.

5: Duncan Trussell as Hippocampus

Duncan Trussell is a comedian, podcaster, and voice actor best known as the co-creator and voice of multiple characters on the Netflix animated series The Midnight Gospel. His humor often explores philosophical, spiritual, and existential themes with a psychedelic bent. Trussell brings a unique, thoughtful, and often trippy perspective to his comedic work.

Trussell voices Hippocampus, the brother of Tyrannis who is a half-human, half-horse seahorse. As a cynical and lazy centaur, Hippocampus provides a different kind of comedic foil, often commenting on the absurdity of the situations with world-weariness. Trussell’s distinctive, laid-back delivery adds a stoner-philosopher vibe to the character, contrasting with the more high-energy personalities in his family.

– The Supporting Voice Cast Ensemble

The world of Krapopolis is populated by a talented ensemble of voice actors who bring its many citizens and gods to life. Eric Bauza is a legendary voice actor known for numerous roles in animated series like Looney Tunes and Ben 10; he voices various characters including Squid. Amber Stevens West (The Carmichael Show) brings wisdom and authority to the goddess Athena.

They are joined by a roster of comedy and voiceover experts: Michael Urie (Ugly Betty) as the messenger god Hermes; John Gemberling (Big Mouth) as Joshua; Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911!) as the cyclops Kolax; and James Adomian as the titan Chronos and the god Pan. Kathy NaglerErik Charles Nielsen, and Matt Gourley round out the cast, providing the many additional voices that create the rich, chaotic, and hilarious soundscape of the ancient world.
