The film will follow the tale of a character named Allison who’s life is in ruins after being in a fatal crash, and then finds the strength to fight for her life through the bond she formed along with the father of her husband during the next few years. Morgan Freeman will play the father-in-law of the character, who makes her realize the importance of his life once more. Filming for A Good Person is scheduled to start in the fall of the year.

The film was first announced in 2021. However, Pugh said that they’ve completed filming it, sharing the image of her character is seen wearing a different style than she normally wears. The trailer starts with a narration from Morgan Freeman, who seems to be introducing us to what is likely to be a typical romantic comedy. However, the story happens quickly, culminating in the tragic accident of a car, which has tragic consequences. The trailer demonstrates how each of the characters, each in their own way are trying to deal with the aftermath that resulted from this tragedy.
