In the film, we meet Alice the woman who longs to be free, even though she is held captive on a small plantation in Georgia with the unforgiving and violent owner Paul. Following a brutal confrontation with Paul and her family, she escapes into the woods, and then stumbles upon a road she’s never before seen and is shocked to find that it’s actually 1973. She is rescued off the road by an activist from the political scene known as Frank.

Alicia The first trailer for the film will plunge viewers headfirst into the dramatic change that the protagonist faces when her life shifts from a pre-Civil war South into post-Civil Right America. The action-packed trailer takes viewers on Alice’s quest for empowerment and then reveals her ferocious vengeance against the sly man who is behind the plantation.
The film also features Gaius Charles, Alicia Witt, Craig Stark, and Shiquita James. The music was composed and selected were chosen by Common, Karrien Riggins and Patrick Warren. Alicia was produced and financed by Peter Lawson through his Steel Springs Pictures banner. Palmer along with Common will produce the show together with Jose Agustin Valdes and Vickie de Varona Hsieh.
