Production for Along for the Ride began on April 22, 2021 at Carolina Beach, North Carolina and will continue through Wilmington, Kure Beach, and Oak Island. Production ended on June 4 2021. The majority of the filming took place at night since a large portion of the plot revolves on night-time adventures involving two characters with insomnia.
