Previous East India Company officer John Beecham shows up in Delhi resolved to rejoin his family and shroud the personality of his newborn child. Get ready for a brand-new, six-part drama series Beecham House on Masterpiece starting at 9:30 p.m. on June 14. The proposal scene was pure cornball. Samuel walking about free after his stabbing of General Casillion defies belief. The murders and mayhem and kidnapping at the end are just ridiculous. Thank goodness this series is on ITV.

This show is a great disappointment, the filming is beautiful, as someone who loves India it was a huge pleasure to see Jaipur and Delhi in all their glory woven into the story rather than second rate mock ups.
