In actual life, the famed bandit was killed in 1881 at 21 years old, in the presence of his Sheriff Pat Garrett, after the young man was able to escape from the prison where he was waiting to receive his execution. Billy the Kid Season 2 premieres at MGM+ October 15, 2023.
