The filming of the second series of Domina began in the spring of last year in Rome. The central theme of the story, we will see the period of the principate of Gaius Octavian, or Caesar Augustus who was the first Roman Emperor. Livia is divided between marital problems with Gaius and political issues. In actual fact, she will do all things for her children to be sure one is able to take over the throne.
In the process of marrying Gaius Caesar, she becomes the most powerful woman in Rome and is joined by her spouse, who at times learns to love with shrewd political advice as well as shady, sometimes illegal actions. Logistical coincidences are at the heart of it, as the story goes Little is the image that people see in the present-day Rome. The film is a major collaboration between international producers that was shot in the Cinecitta Studios located in Rome.
