The show’s creators have decided to conclude the story by the end of the fifth season the show, astonishing fans by introducing a second Christmas-themed special.

The co-creator and lead Mathew Baynton explained the reason for this decision, and highlighted the difficulties posed by reality that the characters can’t change their appearance. As time goes by the gap in age between the characters and actors grows, making reunions in the near future impossible without the assistance in the form of CGI technology. The show’s creator and writer Mathew Holness said the sketch “will be a lot of a lot of fun” and is excited to work with Minogue. Kylie Minogue has been in the world of music for more than 30 years and has put out numerous chart-topping albums and singles. She has also been featured in numerous films and TV shows.
