Will Ferrell is terribly overacting the entire time and by about the half-hour mark, the accent gets so annoying. Some of the other actors also have dubbed audio which I noticed almost immediately and was annoyed by the entire time sorry to point this out as once you notice it will be impossible to unsee and once again. This doesn’t appear to be all that good though. Would rather have a third Robert downy jr one. This movie would be perfect if Cumberbatch and Downey Jr were the villains. Holmes and Watson Budget: $42 million. The people trashing the trailer because Downey Extra Soft or Cucumber was “better” and Sherlock Holmes should be more intelligent than this. Yet those same people aren’t intelligent enough to realize this is a slapstick style parody which will appeal to its own audience instead of being another copy of the already overdone reincarnations of Holmes, Bond, or whatever another famous British detective.
There is a fine line between good comedy and bad comedy. Holmes and Watson Budget: $42 million. This is heading towards the latter. Ralph Fiennes is a good choice for Moriarty. Robert Downey and Benedict Cumberbatch better make a cameo in this. Thought it was gonna be a not so funny comeback film, yet some of the clip actually made me chuckle.
