When Darcy discovers that her former opponent Adam (Penny) was leading the team that has won awards, Darcy enlists her niece to join a group of her own, and they recruit talented singers who did not get selected. Both teams agree to sing off, and whoever is the winner is the one to represent their school in the annual county Christmas Carol Competition. The styles of the two coaches are not the same. Adam believes that he has worked hard to earn everything he’s earned and holds his students to a certain standard and is careful not to give them false hope.
