The film follows three females as they fight to make their way at an eminent New England university, whose appearance of icy elitism might conceal some more sinister. Prof. Gail Bishop (Regina Hall) is just promoted to the rank of “Master’s” of a residence which is the first time an African-American woman held the post at the famous Ancaster College.

Prof. Gail Bishop (Regina Hall) was recently promoted into the position of “Master” of a residence hall, marking the first time a woman of color has been promoted to this post in Ancaster College. The determined professor is determined to breathe new life into an age-old custom, Gail finds herself embroiled in the story that is Jasmine Moore (Zoe Renee) A spirited and hopeful young woman.
