During the interview she talked about how the importance of health and fitness and shedding weight, was a way to maintain her schedule of filming. This isn’t the only time that Bates felt out from the norm. Even though her role in Misery earned her an Oscar and she recalled failing to remove the label on her blouse during the gala dinner that seemed like more of a mistake than the actual fact that she was presented with one of the biggest films awards.
