Meet the Cast of ‘King of the Hill Season 14’

Meet the Cast of 'King of the Hill Season 14'

After over a decade off the air, King of the Hill makes its long-awaited return with Season 14, bringing back the beloved Hill family and their quirky neighbors in Arlen, Texas. Hank Hill (Mike Judge), the straight-laced propane salesman, is back to navigate the absurdities of modern life—whether it’s dealing with his eccentric friends, his well-meaning but clueless wife Peggy (Kathy Najimy), or his awkward but good-hearted son Bobby (Pamela Adlon). This revival stays true to the show’s signature dry humor and heartwarming storytelling while tackling contemporary issues—from social media culture to shifting small-town dynamics—with the same wit and charm that made it a classic.

Fans can expect more of Hank’s deadpan reactions to the world’s nonsense, Peggy’s hilariously inflated self-confidence, and Bobby’s unexpected moments of wisdom. Meanwhile, Dale (Johnny Hardwick), Bill (Stephen Root), and Boomhauer (Mike Judge) return with their usual antics, ensuring that the alley behind Strickland Propane remains a hub of bizarre conversations and questionable life choices. With updated animation and fresh storylines that honor the original series’ spirit, King of the Hill Season 14 proves that some things—like Hank’s love for propane and propane accessories—never change.

Meet the Returning Cast (and a New Voice!)

1. Mike Judge as Hank Hill & Boomhauer

Mike Judge, the co-creator of King of the Hill, effortlessly slips back into his iconic roles as Hank Hill and Boomhauer. As Hank, Judge delivers the same gruff, no-nonsense charm, whether he’s defending the superiority of propane or sighing at Bobby’s latest oddball hobby. Meanwhile, his fast-talking, mumble-heavy performance as Boomhauer remains one of the show’s funniest running gags.

Judge’s return ensures that Hank’s voice—both literal and philosophical—stays authentic. This season, Hank faces new challenges, like adjusting to Arlen’s changing demographics and dealing with tech-savvy millennials who don’t appreciate a well-maintained lawn. His exasperated reactions to modern life are as priceless as ever.

2. Kathy Najimy as Peggy Hill

Kathy Najimy reprises her role as Peggy Hill, Arlen’s most confident (and least competent) substitute Spanish teacher. Peggy’s unwavering self-assurance leads to some of the season’s funniest moments, including her disastrous attempt to start a podcast and her insistence that she’s “fluent” in every language after one Duolingo lesson.

Najimy’s performance perfectly balances Peggy’s delusional arrogance with moments of surprising warmth, especially in her scenes with Bobby. Whether she’s writing a terrible novel or giving terrible advice, Peggy remains one of TV’s most hilariously flawed moms.

3. Pamela Adlon as Bobby Hill

Pamela Adlon returns as Bobby Hill, the lovable oddball whose weirdness somehow makes him the most well-adjusted member of the family. This season, Bobby explores new passions—from competitive BBQ judging to interpretive dance—much to Hank’s bewilderment. Adlon’s voice work captures Bobby’s endearing naivety and unexpected wisdom, making him the heart of the show.

A standout episode sees Bobby bonding with Hank over a shared love of grilling, only for their father-son moment to be ruined by Peggy’s “expert” seasoning tips. Adlon’s ability to make Bobby both ridiculous and deeply relatable is a big reason why fans adore him.

4. Johnny Hardwick as Dale Gribble

Johnny Hardwick is back as Dale Gribble, the paranoid, conspiracy-obsessed exterminator who’s convinced the government is hiding everything from aliens to secret weather machines. This season, Dale’s theories get even wilder—including a storyline where he believes Arlen’s new traffic light is a surveillance device.

Hardwick’s manic energy and rapid-fire delivery make Dale one of the show’s funniest characters. Whether he’s ranting about “shadow governments” or accidentally stumbling onto a real conspiracy, Dale’s antics are as entertaining as ever.

5. Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive & Buck Strickland

Stephen Root returns to voice Bill Dauterive, the eternally depressed army barber, and Buck Strickland, Hank’s sleazy, cowboy-hat-wearing boss. Bill’s tragicomic existence reaches new lows (and highs) this season, including a misguided attempt at online dating and a brief phase where he becomes a motivational speaker.

Root’s ability to switch between Bill’s pitiful whining and Buck’s boisterous swagger showcases his incredible range. A highlight is an episode where Buck forces Hank to manage Strickland Propane’s disastrous TikTok account.

6. Toby Huss as Kahn Souphanousinphone Sr. & Cotton Hill

Toby Huss reprises his roles as Kahn Souphanousinphone Sr., the Hills’ snobby Laotian neighbor, and Cotton Hill, Hank’s foul-mouthed, war-obsessed father (in flashbacks). Kahn’s competitive nature leads to some hilarious clashes with Hank, especially when they both run for the HOA board.

Huss’s performance as Cotton (despite the character’s passing in the original series) appears in a flashback episode where Hank remembers his dad’s “unique” parenting style. His ability to make Kahn both irritating and oddly sympathetic is a testament to his skill.

7. Lauren Tom as Minh & Connie Souphanousinphone

Lauren Tom returns as Minh Souphanousinphone, Kahn’s equally judgmental wife, and Connie, Bobby’s on-again, off-again crush. This season, Minh’s passive-aggressive remarks reach new heights, while Connie deals with college applications and Bobby’s latest weird phase.

Tom’s sharp comedic timing makes Minh a scene-stealer, especially in episodes where she and Peggy engage in a faux-polite war of backhanded compliments.

8. Jonathan Joss as John Redcorn

Jonathan Joss is back as John Redcorn, the Native American musician and former lover of Dale’s (unknowingly cuckolded) wife, Nancy. This season, John tries to go mainstream with his music, leading to a cringe-worthy but hilarious attempt at a country-pop crossover.

Joss’s smooth, laid-back delivery contrasts perfectly with the absurdity of John’s storylines, making him a fan favorite.

9. Ronny Chieng as Kahn Souphanousinphone (New Voice)

Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians, The Daily Show) joins the cast as the new voice of Kahn Souphanousinphone, taking over from Toby Huss. Chieng brings his signature sarcastic edge to the role, maintaining Kahn’s elitism while adding fresh energy. His dynamic with Hank—especially in arguments about propane vs. charcoal—feels both familiar and new.

What to Expect in Season 14

  • Hank vs. Technology: Watch him struggle with smart home devices, DoorDash, and “those dang millennials.”

  • Peggy’s New Hustles: From life coaching to NFT scams (yes, really).

  • Bobby’s Weird Phases: Including a brief obsession with ASMR and professional cornholing.

  • Dale’s Wildest Conspiracies Yet: 5G, cryptocurrency, and why Arlen’s mayor is definitely a lizard person.

  • Heartwarming Moments: Because at its core, King of the Hill is about family—even if that family includes a man who thinks the moon landing was faked.
