Meet the Cast of ‘Leanne Season 1’

Meet the Cast of 'Leanne Season 1'

Netflix’s Leanne is a heartfelt comedy-drama about resilience, family, and the unexpected joys of second chances. When Leanne Morgan (playing a version of herself) is blindsided by her husband of 33 years walking out, she’s left to pick up the pieces—armed with nothing but her Southern charm, a questionable Jell-O salad recipe, and a family that’s equal parts supportive and chaotic. As she stumbles through the mess of divorce, dating apps, and rediscovering herself, Leanne proves that sometimes life’s biggest surprises come after the happily-ever-after you planned falls apart.

With its blend of laugh-out-loud humor and tender moments, Leanne is a celebration of imperfect families and the unshakable women who hold them together. Think Grace and Frankie meets Sweet Magnolias, with a dash of stand-up flair from Leanne Morgan herself. Whether she’s dragging her girlfriends to a disastrous line-dancing night or accidentally becoming a viral sensation (thanks to a grandkid’s TikTok), this series delivers warmth, wit, and the kind of humor that feels like a hug from your favorite aunt.

Leanne: Meet the Cast

1. Leanne Morgan as Herself

Stand-up sensation Leanne Morgan brings her signature humor and relatability to this semi-autobiographical role. Known for her comedy about small-town life, motherhood, and the glorious mess of getting older, Morgan shines as a woman navigating divorce with equal parts grace and “what in the heck just happened?!” Her comedic timing turns even the most cringe-worthy moments—like a botched dye job before a first date—into pure gold.

But don’t let the laughs fool you: Morgan also delivers poignant moments as Leanne grapples with loneliness, self-doubt, and the bittersweet freedom of starting over. Her chemistry with the ensemble cast (especially Celia Weston as her no-nonsense mama) is the show’s secret sauce.

2. Celia Weston as Mama Margaret

Celia Weston (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Modern Family) steals scenes as Margaret, Leanne’s tough-love mother who’s equal parts supportive and savage. Whether she’s doling out unsolicited advice (“Honey, that man wasn’t a prize—he was a participation trophy”) or accidentally setting Leanne up with her pharmacist (“He’s single and has good insurance!”), Weston’s delivery is flawless.

Her dynamic with Morgan crackles with authenticity—part mother-daughter sparring, part unshakable bond. And just wait for the episode where Margaret tries online dating herself.

3. Blake Clark as Daddy John

Blake Clark (Boy Meets World, Home Improvement) plays John, Leanne’s sweet but slightly clueless father, who’s more comfortable fixing a carburetor than discussing feelings. Clark’s folksy charm makes John the show’s unexpected emotional anchor, especially in scenes where he quietly reassures Leanne that she’s “still his favorite—don’t tell your sister.”

His subplot—attempting to build Leanne a “divorce shed” to cry in—is both hilarious and oddly touching.

4. Ryan Stiles as Bill

Ryan Stiles (Whose Line Is It Anyway?, The Drew Carey Show) brings his improv genius to Bill, Leanne’s ex’s best friend who might (or might not?) be flirting with her now. Stiles’ physical comedy shines in a disastrous golf cart incident, while his quieter moments hint at a possible slow-burn romance. Fans will love the will-they-won’t-they tension.

5. Kristen Johnston as Carol

Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock from the Sun, Mom) is a riot as Carol, Leanne’s recently divorced best friend who’s “embracing her hot mess era.” Whether she’s dragging Leanne to a silent yoga retreat (they get kicked out) or drunkenly serenading the neighborhood with I Will Survive, Johnston’s comedic chops are on full display.

Her friendship with Morgan feels lived-in and real—like they’ve been swapping gossip and wine for decades.

6. Graham Rogers as Tyler

Graham Rogers (Atypical, Quantico) plays Tyler, Leanne’s well-meaning but slightly oblivious son. His attempts to “help” his mom navigate dating apps (“Mom, please don’t use the cat-filter”) lead to some of the season’s biggest laughs. Rogers nails the mix of affection and exasperation that defines adult child-parent dynamics.

7. Annie Gonzalez as Nora

Annie Gonzalez (Gentefied, Flamin’ Hot) is a scene-stealer as Nora, Leanne’s pregnant daughter-in-law, whose hormonal meltdowns and unfiltered honesty (“MILF isn’t an insult, it’s a lifestyle!”) make her an instant favorite. Her bond with Leanne—part mother-daughter, part partners-in-crime—adds heart to the chaos.

8. Hannah Pilkes as Josie

Hannah Pilkes (American Housewife, The Goldbergs) plays Josie, Leanne’s teenage granddaughter who accidentally turns her into a meme (“#GrandmaGotGame”). Pilkes’ Gen-Z snark and unexpected wisdom (“Boomer men are like dinosaurs—extinct for a reason”) make her the perfect foil to Morgan’s old-school charm.

9. Algerita Wynn as Cynthia

Algerita Wynn (The Ms. Pat Show, P-Valley) rounds out the friend group as Cynthia, the church lady who’s shockingly wild after one margarita. Her gossipy asides (“Bless your heart” = Southern for “go to hell”) and secret TikTok fame make her a breakout character.

10. Kenna Wright as Nurse Meghan

Kenna Wright (The Resident, Ozark) appears as Meghan, the no-nonsense nurse at Leanne’s new part-time job (because divorce is expensive). Her deadpan reactions to Leanne’s antics (“Ma’am, this is a hospital, not The Golden Bachelor“) are priceless.
