Shoresy can be played by Jared Keeso, but within Letterkenny, the character was only shown in situations that concealed his face, while Keeso plays the main character of Wayne.
Justin Stockman of Bell Media explained the reasoning behind going ahead with the Shoresy spin-off by pointing out that he’s among the most popular characters on Letterkenny marketing and acknowledging the creativity that comes with developing a character’s narrative that isn’t made public in the original series.
The clip begins with a fictional analysis of a sports show, in which the hosts give their top picks for the vilest player ever to play hockey. With his brutal and raw behavior in and out of the arena, it becomes apparent that the award is no other player than Shore (Jared Keeso) more popularly than Shoresy. Shoresy is a film that sees Keeso return to his character of Shoresy from Letterkenny that he invented.
Hulu’s original, six-episode, one-hour comedy follows the fan-favorite, mom-loving, and foul-mouthed “Letterkenny” character Shoresy joining an AAA senior hockey club in Sudbury in the hope of never losing another time.
