Like Reynolds himself had predicted yesterday in one of his signature promotions Today, a brand new development was revealed that promises the release of a musical and plenty of Christmas emotion: now, the film offers an “little” twist to the conventional story, with a lot of dancing, singing and laughter. The script was written by Sean Anders, in complicity with his frequent collaborator John Morris.

There’s been a myriad of different versions from A Christmas Carol including the silent film from 1908 that starred Thomas Ricketts, 1992’s The Muppet Christmas Carol and many more Christmas-themed episodes on Doctor Who. Spirited does not appear like it’s breaking with the norm however, it’s an appropriate twist on the story that it’s worth watching.
