The main character of the show will be Ensign Mariner. She could otherwise be a classic Star Trek hero modeled on Captain Kirk , but who was demoted numerous times due to insubordination. In her place is Boimler who is obsessed with following all rules in order to realize his desire to be Captain; Tendi.

There have been some clever modifications that have allowed the show to gain the confidence that it has gained artistically over the past couple of years. Lyn is the perfect complement to our beloved family heroes, and the comical straight guy who lets both make comments on the series’ evolution.

“Ensigns” Brad Boimler, a bunch of neuroses who have a deep respect of the law and chain of command, who hope to rise through the ranks and the legendary feats of bridge officers. But, in its humorous side and despite having some pleasant moments when it does it right, it fails to achieve the heights of this popular series.
