It was developed by Zambian writer Malenga Mulendema, who was one of the eight winners in a pan-African talent hunt conducted by Triggerfish as well as The Walt Disney Company in 2015. The elegant CG action-comedy was written by the Zambian-born writer Malenga Mulendema. She initially proposed the idea to Cape Town studio Triggerfish during an open call to African creators.

The four main characters in this show include Wanga an assertive well-known leader, who is able to control electricity Chipo an introverted and intelligent inventor who has the ability to make machines and gadgets; Tandi, a bubbly and lively dancer who is able to manipulate the sound waves; and Zara who is a cool, calm and sane hacker that has the ability to connect to any device. Together, they make up Supa Team 4, a group of superheroes that balance protecting the world and performing their chores and homework.
