The first story in the series includes a stonemasons ‘ workshop located in Brompton Cemetery, a style school for students from abroad; the family-owned Italian restaurant that is about to expand well as a garden center whose roots are linked to Chelsea FC’s infamous history of football-related hooliganism.
The family was raised and born in Chelsea as the child of a local bookshop proprietor, Max is far away from the affluent elite, whose crimes he hopes to assist in solving. Recently divorced by his partner Astrid (Anamaria Marinca), Max still hopes to be able to return to his house in Cadogan Square. Each episode will feature Max and the Streatham-born Priya Shamsie who is played by Sonita Henry.

Arnold, whose life is on a battered homeboat in Chelsea’s Cheyne Walk is starkly different from the wealthy elite, whose crimes he works to solve along with teammate D.C. Priya Shamsie.

The residents of this beautiful, yet kinky city are two detectives Max Arnold and Priya Shamsie Both are very calm and do not seem to blend in with the other Chelsea residents. In order to expose this façade of the city they come together and make every effort to expose the culprits and bring them to justice.
The cast and the show generally have received plenty of praise from both fans and critics alike. This is enough to decide to check it out. The Chelsea Detective Season 2 premiere is available on Acorn TV the 28th of August, 2023.
