The Menu is written by screenwriters Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. In all honesty, neither the synopsis nor the trailer is able to reveal (even just a bit) the horrors this opulent, yet mysterious restaurant in Hawthorn is hiding. It is true that a dose of black humor will be available to you. The satire of luxury chefs and restaurants and the suspense that grows as the story progresses the island’s apparent obsession with food and the meticulous dedication of Slowik employees are only a few of the reasons this film must be seen.

Based on the information provided by the official site the film will be an emotional film that has hints of comedy and drama. Two friends go to an island to find a well-known restaurant. They are astonished by the spot. The reality is that the film transforms over the course of a few minutes into something more humorous, uncomfortable, and then terrifying, to sadistic levels that may cause a lot of anxiety.
