The thematic portion is the most intriguing part in “The Santa Clauses” trying to bring the passage of time in real life in its story and considering how Santa is viewed in the modern age of information, technology, and various mechanisms of mass consumption. The themes discussed are not explored with enough depth.

In the story, Scott Calvin is about to turn 65 and realizes that he won’t be Santa for the rest of his life. He’s beginning to lose some of his Santa obligations and, more importantly, he is his own family who would benefit from living in the ordinary world, including his two sons, who lived at the North Pole. With lots of elves, children, and relatives to be pleased, Scott sets out to locate a suitable replacement Santa while preparing and preparing his entire family for the new journey in the south from the North Pole.

In time’s end, it’s most likely that Disney chose to emphasize characters who are new in the series, as outside of Allen and Mitchell all of them are new to the show. Bernard, Charlie, and more characters we recognize from the films may play some role in the show. The emphasis is on the aesthetics of the trilogy’s first installment.
