The shots and visuals are beautiful. The music is wonderful. The acting is convincing. None of the characters really feel unnecessary. It has a good mix of wholesome, heartwarming moments that have interesting contrast with the doses of drama, but the drama isn’t over the top or unnecessary.

The issues these people face aren’t just about their own selfish ambitions or sense of power like so many other shows. They face real-life curve balls that make you feel like you’re watching your own family and friends, and you find yourself feeling for them. The issues of the tight-knit town community are definitely relatable, and they’re unfolded with good pacing and satisfying resolutions.

The characters, although selfish at times, are actually good people that seek to do what’s right for others rather than just what’s right for themselves all the time, which is hard to find in most shows. They’re not scandalous, scheming, sociopathic nutcases like so many of the characters employed by so many of the most popular shows these days.
