One of the best if not the best in its genre. The show really picks it up from the beginning sets the mood with its terrific intro music. The character development and the pace of it are just right enough to not feel bored but at the same time delves upon ample details to keep the audience guessing.
Nicole, Reese, and Shailene completely justified their roles as Celeste, Madeline, and Jane, with a terrific supporting cast including Laura as Renata. A great show to binge on. Kelly creates a sublime mystery/drama. Again Jean-Marc Vallee masterfully helms this series as he did with “Sharp Objects”. This series has excellent direction, writing, settings, cinematography, soundtrack, and acting.
They are simply captivating. Skarsgard deserves just as much recognition for his performance. The plot revolves around a murder and the mystery behind it in the peaceful town of Monterey, CA. The story is seen through the eyes of three of the main mothers in the community. As the mystery unravels all aspects of this seemingly perfect community are exposed including relationships, family, friends, love, jealousy and the willingness to do whatever it takes to protect the community’s reputation.
