Jim is a divorced father, seeks assistance of his ex-wife and her boyfriend to solve the incident that involved a pet goldfish. The surprising results of this trio’s solutions strengthen the bonds between them that are still developing, unorthodox co-parenting arrangements.
What is the Extended Family About:
Extended Family centers on Jim played by Cryer as well as Jim’s ex-wife Julia (Spencer). They divorce peacefully and, to ensure that their children can cope better they decide to remain in the home they share to educate the children, and each to lease their own home.
It may seem good, but soon problems develop. Julia has met with an interesting owner of a team – specifically Jim’s and now everyone has to face the new reality of motherhood.
A two-time Primetime Emmy winner Jon Cryer (Two and Two and a Half Men) directs and stars in the role of Jim, Abigail Spencer (Suits Timeless) is Julia as well and Donald Faison (Scrubs) plays Trey. The first season’s cast comprises Sofia Capanna as Grace and Finn Sweeney as Jimmy Jr.
