High Flying Bird is an American Sports-Drama film 2019. André Holland, Melvin Gregg, Eddie Tavares are the main cast of High Flying Bird (2019). The central premise is clever but the movie just sorts of meanders along and feels longer than it is. There’s a lot of dialogue that it is delivered in a very unanimated, dispassionate kind of a way that makes paying attention quite difficult.
Ultimately nothing really happens of consequence and it’s 90 minutes of blandness. I’d rather watch a bad movie, to be honest as it would be more memorable. The only thing missing was an added screen time where they could expand on everyone’s point of view, including the owners.
While it can be seen as thought-provoking, it failed to keep me engaged. A lot of dialogue and I fell asleep during the movie. It should’ve been a series. A lot of great stories for a show and not just a movie.

This High Flying Bird storyline is brilliant. Def one of those stories where you’re like damn I wish I thought of this. Hilarious take on race & plantation politics in basketball- and the potential of players to change the balance of power.
