Harriet Tubman, William Shakespeare, Sigmund Freud, Jesus Christ, Noah or Abraham Lincoln are just some of the historical figures we’ll meet in this show produced and written by Mel Brooks. The brand new comedy that is The Second Part — hosted by Brooks who was co-author and co-creator of The Second Part mini-series examines several of these historical characters. Hulu will be offering another installment of an eight-episode series by and starring Nick Kroll, which will include scripts written by Brooks together with David Stassen.

The film features a well-rounded cast of characters who are all the people you’ve encountered in textbooks on history. The first film was released in 1981 and featured an all-star ensemble that included Madeline Kahn, Gregory Hines, Dom DeLuise, Harvey Korman along with Cloris Leachman. Luna along with Garcia Bernal will produce under the La Corriente del Golfo brand.
