Red Eye Season 1 Episode 1 Plot:
A drunk and confused The drunk Dr. Matthew Nolan races through the streets of Beijing and crashes his vehicle. In a state of shock, he board flights back to the UK and is arrested at the airport and charged of murder.
DC Hana Li has been assigned to take Nolan returning to Beijing for the following North China Air flight. When Nolan’s coworkers arrive at Heathrow They’re required to be returned and provide testimony to witnesses. MI5 Director Madeleine Delaney is leading the operation, and she’s in constant contact to Chinese Minister Tang as well as The British PM.
Be careful since a Sino-British nuclear agreement is at risk. CIA agent Mike Maxwell is also helping in the background. In the meantime, Nolan tries to escape arrest at the airport. Videos of him publicly stating his innocence are viewed by millions. Hana’s sister, who is aspiring journalist Jess Li sees the video and is enticed by the possibility of writing a story. On the plane an incident that occurred on the flight is a shock to everyone. Nolan thinks he’s been framed.
