Some release date updates for Warner Brothers pictures so earlier today Warner Brothers sent out a release with some new dates for upcoming movies. Including the flash matrix for Akira and at Mortal Kombat’s so the flash movie which has been a long in development that still has Azra miller attached to star and andy machete attached to direct is now going to hit screens July 1st of 2022.
The fourth untitled matrix film that will be releasing May 21st of 2021 which is ironically the same day that John wick 4 is currently slated for Akira has been officially pulled from the release calendar meaning that movie is gonna go back into development hell after most recently Taika Waititi got the closest ever to rolling cameras on that movie.
A Warner Brothers upcoming a reboot of Mortal Kombat has moved up from March of 2021 to January 15th. I guess the big news out of this is that the matrix has an official dates. The flash has a new release date in terms of the flash most recently we heard that Ezra Miller still has commitments to film the next fantastic beast movie next year in 2020.
Flash, Matrix 4, and Mortal Kombat Release Dates
Warner Brothers have just announced release dates for the flash, Mortal Kombat, and the fourth Matrix movie. The untitled Matrix film opens May 21st, 2021. well the long-gestating the flash movie is set for July 1st, 2022. The studio has also updated the release date for Akira which is taiko YTD attached to direct Bob was put on hold in July.
When the filmmakers signed on to direct a fourth Thor movie for Marvel Studios. Akira was previously dated for the May 21st 2021 date now occupied by the matrix in a strange twist. The matrix sequel is now set to go against John wick chapter 4 with both films starring Keanu Reeves. This movie is looking amazing.
Meanwhile, this marks the latest release date shuffle for the flash that sees Azra Miller reprising his role as the DC Comics speedster. It filmmaker Andy muschietti is on board direct with a shoot being planned for 2024.

Cameras will probably start rolling on the flash in 2021 so the release date in 22 makes sense now Andy machete is really geared up and jazz to direct the film. He apparently has a take already put together gonna be a lot lighter obviously than his recent it movies were so we’ll just have to wait some more on that front to see what kind of direction.
They’re going to take the Flash’s standalone movie in now as for the untitled matrix movie that’s where things get even more interesting just recently we heard from Collider that newcomer Jonathan Groff has been cast in the film who is most recently in frozen – and mine hunter and he is going to be joining a cast that includes Keanu Reeves carrie-anne moss and Jada Pinkett Smith.
All reprising their roles from previous films with newcomers yaya Abdul Mateen Jessica Henrik and Neil Patrick Harris all confirmed a star so that should be quite interesting as well to see what exactly.
