The Sandman: Leaked video of Tom Sturridge as Dream on set. The debut season of The Sandman will adapt the story arc, known by the title Preludes and Nocturnes, in which Dream is trapped by a dark wizard. After being freed, the protagonist must retrieve the most valuable of his possessions during a trip that will see him meet various characters.

After long years of waiting and waiting, fans of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman are now getting their first glimpse of the actor Tom Sturidge as the live-action version of the main character Morpheus thanks to some footage from behind the scenes. Although the short video isn’t exactly action-packed it’s exciting to know that after many years, the project is finally happening.

The Sandman follows the people and locations who are affected by Morpheus The King of Dreams as he tries to repair the human and cosmic mistakes that he’s made throughout his long and varied life. Gaiman is co-writer and executive producer for the adaptation alongside Wonder Woman writer Alan Heinberg. The Sandman will be available on Netflix in the near future, even though we’ve been able to witness various developments of the show.
